E-Rate RFP Alerts: Daily Telecom Leads Near Your Fiber

Map4 Daily Email Alerts now screen new E-Rate, Rural Health Care and state RFPs against your fiber routes every weekday and email you what's within 2 miles of your network.

Map4 now works for you while you sell. This fall we started running Map4 on AI automation, and it's changed what the platform does for telecom carriers and sales teams. Two things are new this month: Daily Email Alerts, and Map4 Relay in testing with AI automation.

New: Daily Email Alerts for E-Rate, RHC and state RFPs

Stop hunting RFPs. Let them find you.

Every weekday afternoon, Map4 screens new E-Rate, Rural Health Care and state opportunities against your own fiber routes. Anything within 2 miles of your network is mapped and sent to your inbox.

E-Rate Daily Leads

New Form 470 applications near your network go straight into your Prospect Mgr. The daily email shows your whole list with today's new rows highlighted, the distance to your network and the allowable contract date. Expired leads clear out automatically, and anything you've marked as a bid stays on the list. See a sample E-Rate Daily Leads report.

RHC and State Daily Leads

Map4 checks the day's Rural Health Care and state RFPs against your routes. For big consortium filings, it checks every member site, not just the lead applicant. A clinic near your fiber shows up even when the consortium's headquarters is three counties away, and each consortium comes with a ready-to-paste address list for the National Map CSV upload. Work that used to take hours of digging through filing documents is now ready when you open the email. See a sample RHC and State Daily Leads report.

Results from a recent run

In one recent run across our test networks, Map4 tracked 32 open E-Rate leads worth about $1.4 million, and one network picked up 10 new leads in a single day.

Also available: USAC Awards and Payments

How to use your alert

  • Start with the highlighted rows, since those are new today.

  • Click an application number to open the full record in Map4.

  • Watch the allowable contract date, because that's your bid window.

  • For a consortium, paste the address list into the National Map CSV upload to see every site against your network.

  • For a borderline distance, check the road path with Draw Route, since railroads, water and freeways all matter.

In testing: Map4 Relay with AI automation for LinkedIn prospecting

Relay is in testing with AI automation that handles the slow parts of LinkedIn prospecting for you. It finds the right executives, drafts your invite notes and follow-ups, and tracks every person from invite to booked call. The goal is to save sales reps several hours a day, whether they sell telecom or something else. You still send every invite and message yourself, so your LinkedIn account stays safe.

Also new on the Map4 National Map

  • The National Map now combines state and local RFPs, DoD and DISA federal telecom notices, and E-Rate and RHC postings synced directly from USAC.

  • RFPs now come straight from 20 official state procurement portals.

  • A new "DoD / Federal Telecom" map type keeps military circuit notices separate.

Telecom RFP trends: what we're seeing

In one week (October 24 to 30) we added 80 RFPs to the National Map from 27 states plus federal notices. Texas (12), California (7), Florida (6) and Georgia (6) led the list. Most were WAN and dedicated internet access, followed by dark fiber, transport and data center work.

A few trends stood out:

  • State and city governments are putting out data center RFPs, not just enterprises: relocations, maintenance and development consulting.

  • Cities want fiber they own. Corpus Christi, TX is asking for self-provisioned WAN circuits at 25G, scalable to 100G.

  • DISA keeps posting a steady stream of 1G to 10G Ethernet and dedicated internet circuit RFQs at US bases.

  2. Filter to your states and scan the WAN and dark fiber pins due in November.

  3. Tap an address, uncheck Score, and upload your KMZ to see how close your routes are.

  4. Sending us your route file? KML and KMZ are native, and we'll screen it daily.
