Map4 Signs Direct Partner Agreement with Cogent Communications

Punta Gorda firm will refer eligible corporate customers for Cogent Internet, rack and power, and related services, and will add Cogent data centers to the Map4 National Map

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – October 6, 2026 – Map4.net today announced that Chris Nunez, dba Map4, and Cogent Communications, LLC have fully executed a Direct Partner Agreement. The agreement authorizes Map4 to market eligible Cogent services to qualifying U.S. and Canadian corporate customers and opens a path to place Cogent data center locations on the Map4 National Map.

Both parties have signed. Map4’s signature is dated September 15, 2026, and the agreement is effective on the last date of execution by the parties. It is non-exclusive. Cogent remains free to sell directly, and Map4 may continue to work with other carriers. Customers who order service are billed by and contracted directly with Cogent. Map4 does not bind Cogent and does not set price, credit, or service terms.

Eligible services under the agreement are Cogent Internet port on both on-net and off-net locations, rack and power in Cogent-owned data centers, and service options listed on the applicable order form, including virtual circuits, VPLS mesh, BGP, and VLAN. A qualified referral is a corporate entity whose primary office is in the United States or Canada, for which the Internet is not a core part of the business, ordering an eligible service with a minimum initial term of one year. Cogent accepts or declines each referral in its sole discretion.

Cogent, a Tier 1 Internet provider (NASDAQ: CCOI), reported 88 Cogent data centers and 84 Cogent edge data centers at the end of the second quarter of 2026, alongside 1,588 on-net carrier-neutral data center buildings and 3,627 total on-net buildings. Those owned facilities are the locations Map4 intends to add to its national fiber and data-center map so schools, libraries, carriers, and enterprise buyers can see Cogent handoff points next to other provider routes.

“Being able to add all the Cogent Data Centers to the Map4 National Map is a great long term partnership,” said Chris Nunez, founder of Map4.
